The archaelogical site can be easily reached either from Naples
Or Sorrento ( approx. 30 Km from Naples or 20 from Sorrento).
The guided tour begins with a visit to the forum and its majestic temples.
It continues all along the main street flanked by different kind of shops, thermal baths , patrician dwellings embellished with wall-paintings and mosaic floors , as well the striking plaster-casts of human bodies, victims of the tragic eruption of the 79 A.D.
In order to see all the area , including some suburban buildings a five hours tour is needed.
Combined tour such as Pompeii and vesuvius or Pompeii and Herculaneum or Pompeii and the archaelogical museum etc. are also available.
